Citizens, Officials to Meet Thursday to Discuss Fort Monmouth Clean-Up

Latest environmental reports on the fort will be discussed.

Concerned about environmental clean-up at the fort? Then maybe you need to be at the next meeting of the Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) on Oct. 6.

According to the Army, "Public RAB meetings are intended to bring together community members who reflect diverse interests to enable the early and continued two-way flow of information, concerns, values, and needs between the affected community and the installation regarding the fort's environmental restoration efforts."

At this week's meeting the board will discuss the Installation Restoration Program (IRP) sites and the most recent environmental reports. A new Web site is currently being constructed to host the Fort Monmouth environmental library. The new web address will be announced when construction is complete.
