Borough Attorney Appointed by Governor to State Economic Development Authority

Brian M. Nelson, Tinton Falls borough attorney, was appointed to the NJ Economic Development Authority by Governor Chris Christie.

Tinton Falls Borough Attorney Brian M. Nelson has been appointed to the NJ Economic Development Authority by Governor Chris Christie.

Nelson, who lives with his wife and two kids in Shrewsbury, is the managing partner of Nelson Supko & Hanlon LLC and also serves as the Middletown Township attorney and Special County Counsel to the County of Monmouth.

In addition to the practice of law, in 2009, Nelson served as a member of Governor Chris Christie's Transition Team for the Office of the Governor. In 2008, he served as New Jersey counsel to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. In 2005, Nelson served as deputy campaign manager to Doug Forrester's primary election campaign for governor. In 2004, he served as executive director of the New Jersey Republican State Committee.

According to its Web site, the authority meets monthly in Trenton and acts as a "catalyst for creating jobs and promoting economic growth in the State."
