Ann Coulter Criticizes Christie Over Immigration Bill: "(He's) Dead to Me"

Coulter had been a fan of Christie in the past.

Gov. Chris Christie may be spending most of his time running the state and gearing up for his reelection campaign, but he's also responsible, at least partially, for the recent passing of a landmark immigration bill in the U.S. Senate, this according to Ann Coulter.

Following the Senate's 68-32 approval of the bill Thursday, the conservative pundit took to Twitter to express her frustrations and to criticize Christie for appointing Jeffrey Chiesa to temporarily fill the senate seat vacated by Frank Lautenberg, who died earlier this month.

Chiesa, who will occupy the seat until a replacement is found in October's special senate election, voted in favor of the bill.

Coulter Tweeted: "@GovChristie's dead to me: Jeffrey S. Chiesa R NJ votes "Aye" on Amnesty bill. CRUZ 2016!"

Cruz is likely a reference to Texas Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, who is a possible 2016 presidential election candidate.

Coulter had been a fan of Christie in the past, praising him at the GOP convention in August, according to NJ.com. The outspoken conservative also expressed frustration in the past over Christie's unwillingness to attack President Barack Obama, US News reported.
