West Long Branch Police Detective Will Be Promoted Wednesday

Detective William Lynch will be promoted to sergeant at Wednesday's council meeting

 

West Long Branch Police Detective William Lynch will be promoted during Wednesday night's West Long Branch Council meeting.

Detective Lynch will be promoted to sergeant during the regular meeting scheduled for 8 p.m. at West Long Branch Borough Hall, according to the West Long Branch Police's Facebook page.

"His qualifications and credentials are extensive and his elevation in rank signals a great new step in the evolution of the community and the Department," a post on the Facebook page states.

Detective Lynch is credited with designing the current West Long Branch Police shoulder patch. He designed the patch to commemorate the borough's 100-year celebration in 2008.
