Two Arrested on Drug Possession Charges Near School Zone in Tinton Falls

Both subjects were arrested on Nov. 21

Two Tinton Falls residents are facing charges after being arrested for attempting to deal drugs within a school zone in the borough.

Karam Alkhalil, 22, and Ashley Correia, 23, were arrested on Nov. 21 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within a school zone.

A subsequent narcotics investigation led to the arrest of both subjects who were placed in Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of $30,000 bail with no 10 percent option.

The investigating officers were Tinton Falls Police Detective Sgt. Scott Trocchia, Det. Cpl. John Tallerico and Detective Joseph Schuler.
