Traffic Delays From Middlesex Through Monmouth Counties

Traffic delays marred the beach trips for thousands from Middlesex County, through Monmouth County and into Ocean County on Sunday.

Traffic delays marred the beach trips for thousands from Middlesex County, through Monmouth County and into Ocean County on Sunday. 

There were delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from south of Exit 77 and Keswick Rd in Berkeley Township to south of Exit 83 and Route 9 north in Toms River.

There was a seven-mile delay because of volume, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

There were delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from south of Exit 88 and Route 70 East in Lakewood to north of Exit 90 and Route 549/Chambers Bridge Rd in Brick.

There was a four-mile delay because of volume.

Also:

  • There were delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from north of Exit 105 - NJ 36 in Tinton Falls to south of Exit 114 - Red Hill Rd in Holmdel.
  • There were delays on the Garden State Parkway local and express roadways southbound from Garden State Parkway - Cheesequake Service Area in Sayreville to south of Exit 116 - PNC Arts Center in Holmdel.
  • As of 11:29am, there were delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound from north of Colonia Service Area to south of Exit 130 - US 1 in Woodbridge.
