Tinton Falls Man Charged With Burglarizing Dentist Office

A Tinton Falls man is charged with burglarizing a Belmar dentist's office earlier this week, documents show. 

Police say Eric M. Shavelson, 23, of Desmoines Court, smashed the front window of the office at 835 Belmar Mall Plaza. The practice belongs to Clinton H. Ives Jr., DMD, records show. 

Shavelson remained inside the office until police arrived, the criminal complaint says. 

He is charged with burglary and criminal mischief, the complaint says. 

Shavelson is due to appear in municipal court on the charges Aug. 15 at 1 p.m., the complaint says. 

His bail was set by Judge Dennis Lavender at $12,500 with no ten-percent option, the complaint says.
