Tinton Falls Man Involved in Parking Lot Crash in Holmdel

A motorist lost control in the Best Buy parking lot, striking a light pole.

 

Holmdel Police are looking into a Thursday parking lot accident, when a driver lost control and swerved into a light pole.

Police said Marcos Sousa, 29 of Tinton Falls was exiting Holmdel Commons on Route 36 in front of Best Buy when he suddenly lost control of his Chevy Malibu and swerved across the lot into a light pole.

Sousa was treated by Holmdel First Aid and MONOC Paramedicas at the scene, then transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for what police called "undisclosed injuries."

The crash is under investigation by Ptl. Michael Moore with assistance from Sgt.Michael Pigott. If anyone witnessed this crash they should contact either Ptl. Moore or Sgt. Pigott at (732) 946-4400 with any information.
