Tinton Falls Man Indicted for Drug Crimes in Shrewsbury

Resident was indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury on 11 drug counts.

 

A Tinton Falls man was indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury Wednesday on 11 counts stemming from allegations he sold heroin to undercover officers from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in both Shrewsbury and Neptune.

Anthony Thigpen, 41, of San Anita Drive in Tinton Falls, allegedly sold the drugs to officers on Feb. 8 in Shrewsbury and twice the following day, Feb. 9, in Neptune during an undercover operation.

Thigpen was indicted on multiple counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was also indicted on charges alleging he sold drugs to undercover officers in a park or within 500 feet of a park in Neptune.
