Tinton Falls Man Charged With Assault

Man allegedly used a metal pipe in a November 2011 incident.

The county has indicted Anthony Tomaino of Tinton Falls on assault with a deadly weapon and two weapons charges stemming from an incident last fall.

According to the indictment released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office this week, Tomaino, 58, of Mountain Run is charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of possessing a weapon, in this case, a metal pipe, for unlawful purposes.

The victim of the Nov. 4, 2011 assault, which occured in the borough, is unnamed in the indictment.
