Three Long Branch Residents Charged In Brick-Throwing Incident

Men broke one person's arm after throwing bricks

Three Long Branch men were arrested and charged with aggravated assault after they allegedly threw bricks at two people.

Joseph Saez, 18, of Joline Avenue, Paul Anderson, 19, of Westwood Avenue and Darien Anderson, 18, of Westwood Avenue allegedly chased two people down Westwood Avenue on Sept. 15, according to court documents. While chasing and taunting the victims, the three men threw bricks and sticks at them and Saez allegedly broke the arm of one of the victims.

The three men have been charge with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and committing and act of riot by throwing the bricks and sticks.

Anderson was also allegedly carrying under 50 grams marijuana at the time of his arrest and was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Paul Anderson was held in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $17,500 bail, and Darien Anderson and Saez were held in lieu of $15,000 bail.
