SPCA Offering $10,000 Reward For Information on Abused Dog's Owner

The dog is being treated at the Monmouth County SPCA.

The Monmouth County SPCA is offering a $10,000 award for information leading to the arrest of person who dumped an abused pit bull in Eatontown this week.

The pit bull, named Danny, is not even one years old, and was found in the rear of the Stony Brook Apartment complex, "covered from head to toe with mange (and) undernourished," according to Victor “Buddy” Amato, chief law enforcement officer for the Monmouth County SPCA.

Amato said the SPCA is looking for any one who saw a "white colored Acura type four door car," in the area of the apartments where Danny was dumped.

Danny is reportedly eating and drinking and "responding well to medical care."

Amato said any one with information can him at 732-312-7153 and that anyone interested in donating to Danny for his medical bills can send a check to SPCA at 260 Wall St., Eatontown NJ 07724 made out to the law enforcement division in care of Chief Amato.
