'Serious' Car Crash in West Long Branch Causing Traffic on Monmouth Road

Driver reportedly hit pole causing car to overturn

A "serious" car crash on Monmouth Road in West Long Branch is causing traffic problems, according to the West Long Branch Police.

The accident occurred between Wall Street and Parker Road by the Sovereign Bank just before 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

The driver reportedly hit a pole, causing his vehicle to overturn. It is unknown if the driver was severely injured in the crash.

Police are asking drivers to avoid Monmouth Road at this time.
