Prosecutor Identifies Victims of Long Branch Shooting

All three victims suffered non-life threatening injuries

The three men who were shot on a porch on Westwood Avenue on July 16 have been identified by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

The men all suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Monmouth Medical Center and Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment. The shooting occurred just after 2 a.m. on July 16.

Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni identified the men as Paul Anderson, 19, his brother Darien Anderson, 18, both of Long Branch and Darnel Martin, 21, of Wall.

Paul was hit by two bullets, including one that grazed the right portion of his chest and his right thigh.

Darien was struck by one bullet that grazed his left leg.

Martin was hit by one bullet that went through both of his thighs.

No arrests have been made and the shooter has not been identified.

"We don't have any information that would lead us to believe that this was gang-related," Gramiccioni said.

He said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing and encouraged anybody with information about the shooting to call the prosecutor's office at 732-431-7160 or the Long Branch Police at 732-222-1000.
