Power Restored to Thousands of Tinton Falls Customers

Outage lasted about one hour

 

Tinton Falls Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) customers now have their power back after an hour-long power outage Wednesday afternoon.

Over 2,000 residents in the south end of the borough were without power from noon to about 1:10 p.m., according to Tinton Falls Mayor Michael Skudera.

"John Mack my Office of Emergency Management Coordinator (was) in constant contact with JCP&L during the outage," Mayor Skudera said in an email.

The exact cause of the power outage was unknown.
