Police: Palmyra Woman Busted for Pot

The woman also had several outstanding warrants for her arrest.

A Palmyra woman riding her bike through town at 1:30 a.m., Oct. 21, was busted for marijuana possession, said police.

Darlayne Lee Painter, 46, was riding along West Third and Arch streets when police stopped her. A warrants check revealed several outstanding warrants for her arrest.

After she was taken into custody, police found marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia on her.

Painter was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was unable to post bail to satisfy the warrants and was lodged in Burlington County Jail.

This information comes directly from Palmyra Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Just an fyi...the warrants are for possesion with the intent to distribute and prostitution. I'll tell her to stay in your neighborhood, as you feel comfortable with her "peddling" her goods in your town.

Prostitution, another thing that should be legal. In places where it's legal, women are less likely to be raped, murdered, contract HIV, and also make far more money if they choose to sell their own sexuality. Remember Observer, you don't own anyone's body besides yours. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/oct/24/un-report-calls-decriminalizing-prostitution/ this article does a pretty good job of explaining many benefits of decriminalized prostitution. If someone is drugged or coerced into sex work, or under age, of course that should be illegal. If a woman wants to engage in voluntary sex work, who are you to judge?

(also, sex work should be completely decriminalized for anyone, not just women)
