Police Blotter: Three Junveniles Set Fire to Brush; DWI Arrests

Tinton Falls police report for April 17-21

  • April 17:  Three juveniles, two from Tinton Falls and one from Eatontown,  allegedly used a cigarette lighter to ignite a brush fire in a wooded area off of Asbury Avenue and were charged with criminal mischief by Ptl. J. Muttie. Flames damaged an area approximately 200 feet by 200 feet before being extinguished by Wayside Fire Company No. 1.
  • April 17: Christopher J. Loy, 30, Lakehurst, NJ, for DWI as a result of failing to signal and maintain his lane while driving on Route 33 East. Ptl. D. Osofsy made the arrest.
  • April 21: Police charge a 17-year-old Tinton Falls juvenile with DWI as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Sycamore Avenue. Ptl. Osofsky and Sgt. Duane made the arrest.
