Police Blotter: Possession of Suspected Heroin; Ingestion of Aerosol Chemicals

Eatontown Police report for April 17-25.

 

  • April 25: Ptl. John Digiovanni responded to Taylor Place for a possible disorderly persons call and subsequently arrested the resident for possession of 29 bags of suspected heroin. 
  • April 19: An attendant at the Lukoil gas station on Route 35 was the victim of a strong-armed robbery.  A witness saw the suspect run toward the Country Club Apartments and pointed out the area to officers.  Ptl. John Gugliuzza and Det. Philip Emanuele saw the suspect and chased him on foot onto the railroad tracks adjacent to the apartments where they arrested him and found him to be in possession of the stolen items. 
  • April 19: Ptl. Chris Bartlett stopped a female driver from Piscataway who was operating her vehicle unsafely.  She was found to be under the influence of inhalants and in possession of them in the vehicle.  She had purposely ingested aerosol household chemical fumes and was operating a vehicle.  She was charged with DWI and other offenses.
  • April 17: A male and female went to Riverview Hospital and reported that the male subject had been attacked and beaten outside the Babies “R” Us store on Route 36 in Eatontown.  Det. Matthew Williams interviewed one of the two subjects, who admitted that they were actually assaulted during a drug transaction in Newark, NJ.  They were charged with making a false police report. 
  • April 15: Det. Theresa Healy arrested a 24-year-old Long Branch man who had been sending inappropriate photos of himself to a 14-year-old female Eatontown resident.  He was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and held on $20,000 bail.
