Police Arrest Alleged Eatontown Heroin Distributing Couple

One of the borough residents is also facing vehicular homicide and drug charges from earlier arrests.

An Eatontown couple has been arrested and charged by Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office for their alleged roles in a heroin distribution scheme.

Vincent Laing, 30, and Jennifer Daly, 31, were arrested on Nov. 15 and charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances, possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of controlled dangerous substances with the intent to distribute, distribution of controlled dangerous substances, conspiracy to commit financial facilitation of criminal activity, and financial facilitation of criminal activity.  Laing was also charged with first degree leader of a narcotics trafficking network. 

The charges Laing and Daly are facing are the result of an existing investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Laing was previously arrested on March 15 after detectives found over one-half ounce of heroin from his previous home in Neptune. At that time, he was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He posted bail on the same day of his arrest and was released.

The ongoing investigation, showed that Laing and Daly were allegedly part of a conspiracy to distribute heroin throughout the winter and spring months of 2013.

The investigation showed that Laing served as an organizer and manager of the heroin ring and that Daly handled the cash proceeds of the of illegal sales.

Laing is also on bail pending a Dec. 9 trial on a vehicular homicide and possession of controlled dangerous substances case, involving a June 24, 2009 motor vehicle collision that claimed the life of an 83-year-old Neptune Township woman. He was arrested on Jan. 5, 2011 and posted bail the next day.

He also posted $7,500 with 10 percent bail on the same date of his June 2, 2013 arrest out of Tinton Falls, for three counts of third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. 

Laing is being held in Monmouth County Jail on $500,000 cash only bail for his most recent arrest and Daly is being held on $250,000 with no option to post ten percent. A bail source hearing required for both to determine the source of any monies posted prior to release.
