Personal Sacrifice Remembered at Tinton Falls Memorial Day Service

Tinton Falls held a ceremony at Triangle Park this Memorial Day to commemorate those who gave so much to this country.

Tinton Falls remembered those lost in service to their country this Memorial Day with a ceremony at Triangle Park.  Boy Scout Troop 124 presided over the changing of the colors while members of the local police, fire and EMS looked on at attention.

Guest speaker Colonel David M. Moore spoke of individuals he personally remembered who gave their lives and of how the military remembers these soldiers as part of a collective conscience, helping them to strive for a better military force.

As the names of the lost were read, the Boy Scouts placed a flag for each name beside the monument while the local Daisy Girl Scout Troop placed a daisy beside each flag.  This was followed by the placing of flags for firefighters and EMS members lost in duty.
