On Target: Ocean Twp. Celebrates National Night Out

Township police will be at the community pool and Target Greatland on Tuesday to promote crime and drug prevention awareness.

A message from Ocean Township:

The "28th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), is a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), and has been scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 2.

The Township of Ocean Police Department will be participating along with the Target Stores, who is the National Night Out corporate sponsor.

National Night Out is a community building campaign and is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Members of the Township of Ocean Police Department will be at the following locations during the times indicated:

Township of Ocean Communtiy Pool: located at 615 West Park Avenue- 11am to 1pm

Target Greatland Store: located at 2331 State Highway 66 Seaview Mall- 2pm to 4pm
