NJ Transit Rail Service Resumes With No Delays

Thursday's power outages caused morning and evening delays

NJ Transit rail service is back to normal on Friday, after two separate power outages on Thursday caused suspensions and delays for trains.

Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Midtown Direct was affected by Amtrak power supply problems at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday. This initially caused 60-90 minutes delays followed by 10-15 minute delays in the evening.

NJ Transit's web site is reporting no travel alerts or delays Friday morning, and all trains are on time.
