New Brunswick, Rutgers Police Investigating Robbery

The New Brunswick Police and the Rutgers University Police Department are investigating a robbery which has been reported to have occurred on Saturday January 25, 2014 at approximately 4:40 a.m.

According to Rutgers officials:

This incident occurred at the intersection of College Avenue and Mine Street, which is located on the College Avenue Campus. In this incident the victim reported that while walking he was approached from behind by a single male who forced a hard object into his back and demanded his wallet and cell phone.

After taking the victim's property, the suspect fled in a waiting gray Honda Civic which traveled down Mine Street towards Easton Avenue. The victim was not physically injured during this incident.

The description of the assailant is limited at this time.
