Neptune Man Indicted on Charges of Forging Oxycodone Prescription in West Long Branch

Charged with uttering a forged instrument and obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance by fraud.

A Neptune man has been indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury for allegedly attempting to buy oxycodone using forged documents at a West Long Branch Walgreens.

David P. Foster, Jr., 19, of Neptune, was indicted on June 30 and charged with forgery, uttering a forged instrument and obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance. The three charges are third-degree crimes.

Uttering a forged instrument in a criminal offense where a person knowingly publishes or puts into circulation any forged or altered financial document, legal document or other writing with the intent to misrepresent it as true and defraud others, according to USLegal.com.

Foster allegedly used a forged prescription form under the name "Dr. P.K." to attempt to buy oxycodone at the West Long Branch pharmacy on March 17.

This is the second time in the last two months that a person has been indicted for allegedly using forged documents to buy oxycodone at the West Long Branch Walgreens.

Teresa Christiani, 24, of Parker Avenue, Manasquan, was indicted on June 2 and charged with uttering a forged instrument and attempted obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance, for an incident that occurred on Jan. 30.
