The Tinton Falls Police and Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office have arrested a suspect who allegedly stabbed and killed a teenager at a Tinton Falls hotel early Saturday morning.
Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona said the Tinton Falls Police were called to the Comfort Inn at 3 Centre Plaza at 1:15 a.m. after receiving a 911 call.
Incremona said police found a male victim in the parking lot and immediately started CPR. The man, later identified as Malcolm T. Carter, 19, of Neptune, died shortly after CPR was administered.
Around 1 p.m., police arrested Darren Harbison, 19, whose last known address is in Farmingdale and charged him for allegedly stabbing Carter, Incremona said.
Harbison was also charged possession of a weapon, a knife, for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Incremona said Harbison's bail was set at $1 million with no 10 percent option by Superior Court Judge Richard English.
This young man was in distress and we do not know the circumstances; however, we can only imagine. Unless we commence with using severe and stringent punishment towards these offenders, it will become increasingly worse out there. By the way, thanks Corzine for signing off on the death penalty. Another brilliant move from a Jersey Democrat.
Alfred Bundy politicizing a tragedy. Both are conservatives and both are pathetic.
