UPDATE: Police Arrest Suspect Who Allegedly Stabbed and Killed Teen at Tinton Falls Hotel

Police have arrested a 19-year-old and charged him with murder

The Tinton Falls Police and Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office have arrested a suspect who allegedly stabbed and killed a teenager at a Tinton Falls hotel early Saturday morning.

Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona said the Tinton Falls Police were called to the Comfort Inn at 3 Centre Plaza at 1:15 a.m. after receiving a 911 call.

Incremona said police found a male victim in the parking lot and immediately started CPR. The man, later identified as Malcolm T. Carter, 19, of Neptune, died shortly after CPR was administered.

Around 1 p.m., police arrested Darren Harbison, 19, whose last known address is in Farmingdale and charged him for allegedly stabbing Carter, Incremona said.

Harbison was also charged possession of a weapon, a knife, for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Incremona said Harbison's bail was set at $1 million with no 10 percent option by Superior Court Judge Richard English.

So young. So sad. Life is a precious gift so many people take for granted. My condolences to his loved ones.

Your comment doesn't make any sense. The article said they were investigating a homicide, not a shoot out with the police. Do you know something different?

I believe that we are confusing this article with the 52-year-old from Beechwood, who was taken down by an officer because he did not drop his weapon. This young man was in distress and we do not know the circumstances; however, we can only imagine. Unless we commence with using severe and stringent punishment towards these offenders, it will become increasingly worse out there. By the way, thanks Corzine for signing off on the death penalty. Another brilliant move from a Jersey Democrat.

What does diversity have to do with it??
Guntoter66 July 22, 2012 at 11:36 PM
Springteshya, I read the entire article as posted, I never saw the word "diversity" in it. What am I missing?

Guntoter, there was an inappropriate comment that has been deleted that referenced what Springteshya is speaking about.

Glad the comment was removed, it was ignorant.

RIP. Thanks once again liberals and democRATS for FORCING diversity, aka, forced integration, on us all. The lie of sensiivity training, which is just LIBERAL BRAINWASHING can only go so far. Saying people are equal and do not act as we say is one thing, DAILY RESULTS AND ACTUAL SIGHTINGS ARE ANOTHER! The liberal lie of diversity is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE AND DO NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING LABELED A RACIST OR SOMETHING! THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT TO MAKE YOU AFRAID OF WHICH IS WHY THEY ALWAYS YELL IT!

Mitt Romney politicizing a tragedy. Alfred Bundy politicizing a tragedy. Both are conservatives and both are pathetic.

Why don't you head someplace else where your views are more tolerable?
The Liberal Crusader September 13, 2012 at 04:51 PM
And also, race is not part of this article anywhere. When you make assumptions, you end up looking like a tool.
