Man Found in Eatontown Parking Lot Died from Self-Inflicted Wound [Update]

Timothy Hunt, 53, of Oceanport, was found in the Toys R Us parking lot in Eatontown on Saturday afternoon.

The Monmouth County Medical Examiner's Office has determined that the cause of death of a man found in the Toys R Us parking lot on Saturday to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Lt. Lawrence Tyler of the Eatontown Police.  

Timothy Hunt, 53, of Oceanport, was found in the Eatontown parking lot at 1:14 p.m. on Oct. 15 after being reported They had not heard from him since after dinner Wednesday, believing he drove off either late Wednesday or early Thursday.

Police found Hunt's vehicle in the parking lot with Hunt inside.

A mass e-mail sent Saturday morning in an attempt to find Hunt stated that he was a diabetic who may have been without medication for three days.
