Man Charged With Burglarizing Eatontown Businesses, Stealing Checks and Laptops

Ocean Grove resident burglarized two Hope Road businesses

 

An Ocean Grove resident is facing several charges after burglarizing two Eatontown businesses and stealing laptops, cash and checks.

Douglas Alderman, 53, of Ocean Grove, allegedly burglarized businesses at 615 Hope Road in the borough on July 14.

Alderman allegedly stole eight laptops valued at $11,780 and $200 in cash from JB Management. He also is charged with damaging two desks and three locked doors during the course of the burglary, causing damage of $1,270.

Alderman is also charged with taking bank checks totalling $3,308 from Summit Financial.

Alderman was lodged in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of $5,000.
