Long Branch Woman Charged With Sexually Assaulting Oceanport Child

Woman also charged with endangering welfare of child

A Long Branch woman has been charged with sexually assaulting an Oceanport child.

Rachel Morrison, 26, of Warburton Place, allegedly sexually assaulted the minor, whose name, age and relationship to Morrison are not being released, on April 29.

Morrison was arrested on April 30 is facing two charges of sexual assault for commiting "an act of sexual penetration" and "touching" the victim, according to court documents.

Morrison is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

She was lodged in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Morrison's initial court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8.
