Long Branch Resident Faces Charges in Howell

Charges include armed robbery and aggravated assault

A Monmouth County grand jury has indicted a Long Branch resident on five charges stemming from an incident on Oct. 14, 2011 in Howell. 

According to the indictment, Iquan Harrell, 20 or Rockwell Ave. is charged with first degree armed robbery for having possession of a firearm as part of the robbery. He is also charged with one count of fourth degree aggravated assault by pointing the firearm.

Harrell also faces one count of second degree unlawful possession of a weapon for having the firearm without having a permit to own it. The fourth charge is one count of second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He is also charged with one count of third degree making terroristic threats. That charge stems from threatening to kill the victim of the robbery.
