Long Branch Police Arrest 4 After Report of Shots Fired

Two handguns recovered in motor vehicle stop.

Long Branch police took four people into custody Saturday night after reports of shots fired near Rockwell Avenue.

Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description given to police dispatchers and recovered two handguns, a .380 caliber automatic and a .22 revolver. The four individuals in the car were arrested. 

Zedoria Durant, 33, of Eatontown was charged with two weapons possession counts; bail was set at $85,000. Darious Russell, 34, of Aberdeen; Aaron Esdaile, 23, of Asbury Park; and Charles Othello, 22, of Forked River were each charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to have weapons. Bail for each was set at $210,000. Othello also faces a contempt of court charge.

They were remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
