Long Branch Man Charged With Eluding Police In Stolen Car

Man was also charged with marijuana possession

A Long Branch man has been charged with eluding police in a stolen car on Dec. 28.

Edward Aldycki, 22, of Division Street, allegedly was driving a 2001 Chevy pickup truck that belonged to a person identified in the court document as B.C.

Long Branch Police attempted to pull Aldycki over, but he allegedly eluded them and crashed his car in the process.

Aldycki reportedly had a warrant for his arrest, but the court document does not state what type of warrant.

He also allegedly possessed eight bags of marijuana at the time of his arrest.

Aldycki was lodged in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. His initial court date is set for Jan. 10.
