Long Branch Man Charged With Dealing Cocaine Near Schools, Parks

Resident allegedly was dealing drugs near Asbury Park schools and parks.

 

A Long Branch resident is facing several charges after he allegedly dealt drugs near parks and schools in Asbury Park.

Anthony Johnson, 44, of Rockwell Avenue, allegedly dealt cocaine within 500 feet of Asbury Park High School, Fireman's Memorial Park, the Deal Lake Boat Launch and Park, and 1,000 feet of Asbury Park High School and the IT Computer Center.

Johnson was also charged with possession, distribution and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

Court papers also state that Johnson allegedly distributed the drugs to an undercover narcotics officer.

Johnson was lodged in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $600,000 bail.
