Long Branch Man Charged With Aggravated Assault With Beer Bottle

A Long Branch man has been charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly attacked another man with a broken beer bottle.

Santos O Garcia-Martinez, 32, of Durand Place, allegedly threw a broken Corona beer bottle at an unidentified man on Feb. 8, according to court documents. The victim sustained "an abrasion to his left hand from broken glass."

Garcia-Martinez was also charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He was held in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Monmouth County Superior Court today.
