Long Branch Resident Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing Man

Arrest stems from Feb. 25 incident

A Long Branch resident has been arrested and charged with attempted murder for stabbing another man during an incident that occurred in the city in the early morning hours of Feb. 25.

On February 28th, 2013  Detectives Todd Coleman and Charles Simonelli of the Long Branch Police Department with assistance from the US Marshal’s Office arrested Daniel Julio Jr., 29, of Brinley St., on Feb. 28, according to Long Branch Police Capt. Jason Roebuck.

Julio Jr. was arrested at the Chrystal Motor Lodge in Eatontown, Roebuck said.

The victim's name was not released.

Juliio Jr. was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $515,000 bail which was set by Judge Vernoia.
