Long Branch Fire Marshal Reveals Details of Russell Court Fire

Cause of fire still under investigation

The cause of a fire that destroyed a building on Russell Court on Sunday morning is still under investigation according to Long Branch Fire Marshal Kevin Hayes.

Nobody was injured in the fire which occurred at a graphic design business at 3 Russell Ct. in Long Branch, directly behind Coast Hardware.

Hayes said the fire department was called to the scene at 4:54 a.m. on July 10 for a report of smoke in the area. He said there was heavy smoke and fire venting out of the roof of the building, but that the fire was "pretty well confined."
