The West Long Branch Police Department is currently accepting applications from qualified persons for the position of POLICE PATROLMAN. Applicants must have at least 60 college credits at the time of application, as well as being either a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II who is eligible for training waiver* OR a Class A certification. Applicants must also pass a rigorous background check.

This annoucement has appeared in the Asbury Park Press and in the employment sections of Craigslist.

The preliminary application can be downloaded as a fillable PDF at the Borough Web Site. Completed applications must be returned to Police Headquarters, 965 Broadway, West Long Branch, NJ, no later than 4PM on Friday, May 31. 2013.

*Special Law Enforcement Officers who possess a Class II certificate are eligible for a training waiver from the Police Training Commission one year from the date of graduation and not more than three years from that date. This means graduates from class from the Spring of 2012 are now eligible, but unfortunately not those from the Spring 2013 Class.
