Father Of Slain Toddler In San Diego Court Today; Faces $10 million Bail In Monmouth County

Arthur Eugene Morgan III scheduled for extradition hearing

Arthur Eugene Morgan III, the father of slain 2-year-old found dead last week in Shark River Park, is scheduled for an extradition hearing Thursday morning, authorities said.

Morgan, who was arrested in San Diego, Calif., on Tuesday, is scheduled to appear before California Superior Court Judge David M. Szumowski at 8:30 a.m., Pacific Time, said San Diego County District Attorney Spokeswoman Tanya Sierra.

When Morgan, 27, is returned to Monmouth County, he'll face a $10 million cash only bail, set Wednesday afternoon by New Jersey Superior Court Judge Lawrence M. Lawson, according to First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecuter Christopher Grammiccioni.

The extradition hearing in San Diego is the first step in the process of bringing the  former Eatontown man back to New Jersey to face murder charges in the death of his daughter, Tierra Morgan-Glover.

around 4:30 p.m., Pacific Time, one week after the body of his daughter was found partially submerged in a portion of the Shark River in Wall.
