Eatontown Man Expected To Recover After Being Hit By Van

Incident occurred on Tuesday in Laurel Gardens Apartment Complex

A 55-year-old Eatontown man is expected to make a full recovery after being hit by a van in the parking lot of the Laurel Gardens Apartment Complex on Tuesday afternoon

Gregory Lemay was doing construction work in the complex, located off Wycoff Road in Eatontown, when an apartment maintenance worker, Manuel Kaymakcian, 53, of Neptune City, accidentally backed his van into him at 1:34 p.m.

According to Eatontown Police Detective Lt. Lawrence Tyler, Lemay walked behind the van in order to access a storage shed located in the parking lot, but Kaymakcian did not see him when attempting to leave the area.

LeMay was knocked to the ground and was rendered unconscious. He also received a large laceration to the back of his head and was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center by the Eatontown First Aid Squad.

The Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) responded to assist with the investigation as well as Traffic Officer Tony Guido of the Eatontown Police Department.

I will drive through the area tomorrow to see if I spot anything! Try googling volunteer searchRead More groups for missing dogs. There are a few in the NJ area. Also ask the local SPCA and Humane Society to see if they can lend you humane traps. Try patrolling the area with food of a strong odor...raw meat, steak, etc. Search in tiny groups and split up to avoid scaring him away, and always bring food and a leash in case you have to lure him over and then leash him. Try also sitting in the area last spotted quietly to see if he approaches you. Bring food so he smells it. Just a few things I have learned while doing some dog searches. Keep sharing and put up posters locally...it helps!
