Car Drives into Eatontown Quick Chek

A vehicle drove into the Wyckoff Road convenience store around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.

A blue Chevrolet Cavalier drove into the Quick Chek on Wyckoff Road in Eatontown around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, according to Eatontown Fire Chief Michael Johnson, who added that there were no injuries reported.

Quick Chek employee  said she was in the deli section of the convenience store and heard a loud "boom."

"I thought it was the garbage guys," she said of the noise.

She said she looked outside in the parking lot and saw a "young girl" crying and called 9-1-1.

Another Quick Chek employee, said she was taking out the trash in the front of the building when the accident occurred. "All of a sudden I thought, 'Why is there a tire at my feet?'"

That employee said the driver was a young female accompanied by her father.
