Bomb Threat Unfounded at Monmouth Medical Center

The Long Branch hospital was locked down for several hours on Monday night.

A bomb threat made against Monmouth Medical Center is unfounded, according to an article on the Asbury Park Press.

The Long Branch hospital was locked down from just before 10 p.m. Monday until 1:30 a.m. this morning, the report states.

“The Long Branch police were called and conducted an investigation,"  Justin Edelman, Director, Corporate Communications, Barnabas Health stated in the article. "During the investigation the hospital was placed on lockdown. Nothing was found in the hospital or on the campus and the lockdown has been lifted."

Officers from NJ Transit, the West Long Branch Police Department, Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department and State Police also responded to the hospital.
