Another Arrest Made in Undercover Long Branch Narcotics Operation

Long Branch arrested and charged with heroin distribution

 

Another Long Branch resident has been arrested in Operation Papi, an undercover narcotics operation launched by the Long Branch Police earlier this year.

Omar Muhammed, 48, of Union Avenue is the latest city resident arrested in connection with investigation, which culminated on August 28 and led to the arrest of 12 individuals, according to Long Branch Police Capt. Jason Roebuck.

Muhammed, also known as Leroy Davis, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin within 500 feet of Broadway Park and the Gregory School.

Muhammed was lodged in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $600,000 bail, according to court documents. He is scheduled to appear in Monmouth County Superior Court on Sept. 28.
