Almost $3,000 Stolen From West Long Branch Home

Police have no suspects in Feb. 25 burglary of Mount Drive home

The West Long Branch Police reported that $2,000 to $3,000 was stolen from a borough home Feb. 25.

West Long Branch Police Detective William Lynch said a home at 50 Mount Drive was burglarized on Feb. 25 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The suspect gained entry to the home by breaking out the glass on the rear door.

The homeowner reportedly said the suspect stole between $2,000 and $3,000 in cash from a desk in an office area of the home.

Lynch said there are no suspects in the case, but that neighbors did report a red pickup near the home at the time of the burglary. The pickup truck reportedly did not belong to any of the nearby homeowners.
