PHOTOS: Multi-Vehicle Wreck on Parkway

Rescue workers needed to extricate two of the drivers following the Monday morning accident.

An multi-vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway in closed all but one of five lanes and required two drivers to be extricated by emergency workers early Monday morning.

The five-vehicle accident occurred around 4:42 a.m. on Feb. 6, according to Pubilc Information Officer Brendan Tobin. Two of the vehicles were overturned by the crash and drivers were extricated and taken to the hospital.

The accident closed all but one of the five lanes of the express and local lanes of the Parkway near mile marker 109, said Tobin.
