UFO Spotted Hovering Over Laguna Niguel?

According to the website ufostalker.com, this is the ninth sighting since 2009. It was near Marina Hills and Golden Lantern and reported on March 3 at 7:15 p.m.

Let me start by saying that I have never been a big believer in UFOs, Bigfoot or the like.

However, at one point, I did believe in the legend of the Loch Ness Monster and, while studying abroad years ago, I went hunting for the fabled aquatic creature called Nessie in Scotland. I never found her, but the place was pretty eerie. I could see why people thought they may have seen things lurking in the lake called Loch Ness, in northwest Scotland. The lake is 23 miles (37 kilometers) long and black as coal. In the wee morning hours, the mist blankets the lake and is as thick as pea soup.

In any event, I received an email alert from UfoStalker.com that stated there was a sighting of some form of UFO on March 3 in Laguna Niguel near Marina Hills and Golden Lantern. It occured at 7:15 p.m. and was reported to the website by someone who said they witnessed the object while they were on their rooftop. The shape was described as "a fireball," its latitude 33.51612, longitude -117.687481.

Someone commented on this sighting, too, Dosborn44 writes:

While walking in Laguna Niguel about 7 p.m. on March 3, 2012, I saw three moving objects with red lights (not blinking) lined up across part of the sky. After about 30 seconds the front object changed direction and went straight up until out of sight. The remaining two objects were then joined by another and after about 30 seconds the front object went straight up until out of sight. This pattern was repeated for a total of seven objects, [the] red lighted object would fade out then another one would appear from the other side. This all lasted about 5 minutes.

Further digging into stats about on ufostalker.com revealed:

There have been eight other sightings in Laguna Niguel:

  • Feb.16, 2008
  • Sept. 17,2008
  • July 25, 2009
  • Sept. 25, 2010
  • Sept. 27, 2009
  • Nov. 26, 2010
  • May 25, 2011
  • Aug. 27, 2011

In addition, ufostalker.com reports, the number of overall sightings is up 17 percent vs. the previous month, but the number of overall sightings is down 18 percent vs. the previous year.

I'm not sure I hold much faith in the ufostalker.com website or the sightings it reports (). However, after reading how many have supposedly been seen here in Laguna Niguel, I am looking up at the sky a whole lot differently once evening rolls around.

Myself and two others reported hearing what we would describe as a large full bodied airplane (747 or similar) flying extemely low over our neighborhood somewhere between 10pm and 12am last night (March 21st, 2012). It is extremely unusual to hear any large jets over our house in Marina Hills and it was definitely not a helicopter of any sort or a small jet. I was watching tv and what got my attention was my dog waking up and looking up at the ceiling/ looking alert. It then occurred to me to tune into the particulars since my husband is an aeronautical engineer in order to descibe it to him in the morning and whether I should wake him up to vacate our home. The sound was constant as with an aircraft flying at high altitude and moving over our house. It was not taking off or landing...Anyone get a visual and have any other information?

There is a possibility that small lights turning off and on under or around the UFO might indicate that they are simply part of a larger object. Just because we haven't sighted habitable planets through our telescopes does not mean that they are not out there..alien intelligences might prefer to observe our warring species first before allowing further contact. Besides, Newtonian physics and Einsteins theories are only relevant in how we understand them to be applied....remember we are looking and practicing science in a third dimensional point of view. The human species does not have the mental or physical capacity to go to the fourth, fifth, etc dimensions....we would need to really evolve faster than we are doing now and currently overpopulation, pollution, conflicts and other eco-social factors hamper our development. If anything, aliens just might see us as a historical ”test” case ....how NOT to mis-manage one's (otherwise) resource-rich planet.

PS Debbie - My husband and I were also in the Highlands of Scotland about 12 years ago. We stayed with the MacGillivrays who owned Boleskine House on the B-road side of Loch Ness. It is a very special place....definitely no ”monster” however driving along the road close to the waterline where the grasses grow right into the Loch, we noticed something huge just under the water ”pacing” by our car as we drove. It even created a wake in the, water. It wasn't a boat as it was much too near to the Loch's edge by us, just under the waterline, and no log could float that fast in sync with the car's speed! We got out of the car and peered over the edge....after pausing for a few seconds while we stared looming for any details, the thing in the water sped ahead and literally followed the curve of the Loch ahead of us! We took a photo of the waterline but unfortunately we had no video as we were using a regular film camera. This happened around 10:30 am a couple of times during our stay there, after leaving the manor gates and heading towards the direction of Inverness (the House is in the village of Foyers). Whatever the creature is, it has tremendous speed and size. It must also be curious and perhaps it can even sense vibrations on the road leading from the area of Boleskine. Perhaps it survives in caves underneath Loch Ness. I think it is better to leave it well enough alone and just to enjoy the wild and mysterious beauty of its area.
