10 SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS FROM THE LATINO COMMUNTIES OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTIES FROM THE NEW JERSEY SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT BROOKDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The New Jersey Small Business Development Center, in partnership with Brookdale Community College – Long Branch Campus, is offering individuals from the Latino Community the opportunity to be awarded one of ten available scholarships for a concentrated version of the in-demand NJSBDC Entrepreneur Certificate Program. The scholarship is funded in part by a grant from La Idea, whose mission is to provide Latino entrepreneurs with the necessary resources to promote creation, cultivation and collaboration of small businesses, generating employment and economic growth throughout the Americas.

 

The Bilingual Community Business Initiative (BCBI) Scholarship program will be held at the Long Branch campus of Brookdale Community College and offers bilingual instruction ( 75% in Spanish and 25% in English) focusing on the principles of entrepreneurship, business development and management. Scholarship recipients will complete three of the core curriculum modules of the Entrepreneur Certificate Program (ECP) offered by the NJSBDC at Brookdale Community College. In addition, scholarship recipients will receive one-on-one pro-bono counseling in Spanish from the NJSBDC upon completion of the program to further assist them with their business start-up or expansion.
