West Long Branch Business Owner Dies at 72

Douglas K. Linsley was the owner of Copy Fax, Inc.

The following is an obituary from the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home:

Douglas Kent Linsley, 72 of West Long Branch passed away, Tuesday Oct. 15th at the Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch.

Mr. Linsley was born in New Haven, Ct. and lived in East Haven before moving to West Long Branch 42 years ago. He was a member of Old First United Methodist Church, West Long Branch. He was the owner and operator of Copy Fax, Inc. of West Long Branch. Mr. Linsley was graduated with a B.S. degree in Business from Quinnipiac College in 1967.

He was instrumental in the organization of the West Long Branch Sports Association, where he was a little league coach for many years. He was a past president of the Monmouth County Business Association and a member of the Bayshore Saltwater Fly Rodders. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Barbara Gould and Malcom Linsley and his brother, Richard Gould Linsley.

Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Edythe "Ecy" Linsley; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen and Patricia Linsley, Jackson, Twp. and Jonathan Scott Linsley, Chatham, NY; a daughter, Margret Leigh Caron, Chatham, NY; four grandchildren, Aimee Leigh, Thomas John, Tyler Kent and Matthew Vincent; and eight nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, Oct. 18th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Memorial services, Saturday, Oct. 19th, 11 am at Old First United Methodist Church, Locust Avenue, West Long Branch.
