Retired Seamstress, Ladies Auxiliary Member Dies at 90

Visitation for Christine Talarico Bruno will be Sunday, Aug. 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch.

Christine “Tina” Talarico Bruno, 90, of Jackson died peacefully on Saturday at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. 

Born in Red Bank, she had lived in Long Branch before moving to Howell. Tina was a retired seamstress for Paul Terry Sportswear in Long Branch. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Long Branch VFW Post 2140 and was active with the Howell Senior Citizens. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Fiore A. Bruno, Sr. in 1984 and her sister, Louise Foster in 2013. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Fiore A. Jr. and Jean Bruno of Atlantic Highlands; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Beverly Russell of Manchester; Rose Ann and Erich Brandl of Farmingdale; a sister, Rose Sage of Shrewsbury; 6 grandchildren, Maria Bruno, Amanda Russell, Rebecca Russell, Dustin Brandl, Christina Brandl and Tony Brandl and a great grandchild, Zander Baquero. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. The funeral is Monday, Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Michael’s Church, Long Branch. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch.
