Longtime Long Branch Nursing Home Manager Dies

Claudette Booker Alexander, 54, died on Oct. 31.

The following is an obituary from Damiano Funeral Home in Long Branch for Claudette Booker Alexander.

Claudette Booker Alexander, 54, of Long Branch NJ, died October 31, 2013 at Monmouth Medical Center Hospice Unit. Claudette was the Human Resources Manager for Westwood Hall Nursing Home, currently known as Monmouth Care Center for 33 years. She was born and raised in Long Branch NJ before moving to Belmar 1 year ago. She was an active and decorated member of Long Branch, she attended Trenton State University where she taught and guided special needs children, and she actively participated and organized Westwood Hall Local 1115 Union.

She was predeceased by her father Corben Booker in 1983. Surviving are one daughter Shirley Alexander of Belmar, NJ; one son and one daughter in law, Darius and Veronica Alexander of Long Branch, NJ; 6 grandchildren, Sylivanna, Janya, Samuel, Allannah, Camryn, and Kemper; her mother Shirley Williams of Long Branch, NJ; her sister and brother in law, Doreen and Layton Jones of Eatontown, NJ; her brother Eric Booker of Maryland; 2 Neices and Nephew in laws, Adrienne and Joe Wright of North Carolina, Tawanna and Bryan Brodie of Long Branch, NJ; 2 Nephews and 1 Niece in law, Lamonte and Tina Booker of Long Branch, NJ, Mikey Jones of Eatontown, NJ. Along with an array of loving family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2013 from 7pm until the time of the service at 8pm from The Damiano's Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, (Corner of Third Ave.) Long Branch. The Family invites you to write a letter of condolences, light a memory candle or make a memorial donations by selecting the appropriate tab.
