VNA Health Group 40th Annual Holiday House Tour Cancelled

With so many in our community experiencing the loss or severe damage of their homes, VNACJ, has decided to cancel the Annual Holiday House Tour scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2012.

With so many in our community dealing with the devastation around them and experiencing the loss or severe damage of their homes, VNA of Central Jersey, a member of VNA Health Group, has decided to cancel the Annual Holiday House Tour scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2012.  After very careful consideration, it was felt that having this event at this time would also put undue strain on community resources including the police who assist with traffic and parking as well as neighborhoods with compromised homes and roadways.

“After forty years, our House Tour is one of the highlights of the season,” stated Janice Fannan and Marianne Avigdor, VNA House Tour co-chairs for nearly ten years. “It was a difficult decision but we believe was the right one given the impact of the storm to our area.”

The event was to have featured five distinctive homes in the Two River area of Monmouth County and a special ‘sneak peak’ of VNA’s May 2013 Stately Homes By-The-Sea Designer Show House, The Hartshorne Mansion, Little Silver.  The Two River area was among one of the hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.

Although the Holiday House Tour is cancelled, the tremendous need for VNA Health Group’s services has never been more critical.

In lieu of the house tour, VNA Health Group has established ongoing Hurricane Sandy relief efforts at www.vnahg.org and welcomes contributions to assist their patients and families impacted by the storm.
