Who's the Slob Who Had the Audacity to Do This?
Lazy slobs dump furniture at Husky Brook Park.
An old red sofa and a beat-up oak-finish coffee table were dumped along Grant Avenue, directly across from the parking lot of our spanking new Husky Brook Park. Fortunately, it was quickly reported to DPW and two Eatontown Borough employees came along right after we finished taking photos of the mess early Thursday afternoon.
DPW workers Chris Kohler and Joseph Nazario made short work of the debris and then tried to help a distressed motorist whose car broke down just before the cleanup took place.
The Pride in Eatontown Committee would like to know who dumped the furniture. If you have any idea, please contact the Eatontown police at (732) 542-0100. We don’t think it was an Eatontown resident because everyone in town knows that if you have large items to discard, DPW responds immediately.
Don’t let out-of-towners think they can dump on Eatontown!
The Pride committee is gearing up for our annual Community Cleanup on Sunday, April 22, 2012. We don’t expect our volunteers to lift anything this heavy. Watch for our announcements about the cleanup in the next few weeks.
